kindness network effects

kindness network effects

by Jon Tippens

I recently sat for a talk given by one Dr. Willard, an expert on kindness. He cited studies showing that kindness can propagate across actors for several degrees – in some cases 3-4 degrees separated from the original person. After the talk, I tried out his advice about the network effects of kindness by buying a stranger some pizza. It was pretty awesome. I don't think it formed a new core memory, but I had a blast and so did the stranger. Next time I'll try to find a way to follow up with the person and ask if my random act inspired them to do something similar.
